Kiana got accepted on the Adaptive Action Sports Snowboarding Team based out of Copper Mountain, Colorado in 2017. She is the first upper limb female to be on the team, as well as a USA Paralympic hopeful. She has started her training shortly after her first trip up to the big mountain to advance her skills to a higher level to compete. From there, she hopes to qualify to make the USA Paralympic team where she will be the first upper limb female to not only make Team USA, but to also be the first upper limb female to represent the USA at the Paralympic Games.
After having a great 2020 snow season with the Adaptive Action Sports Team, Kiana is focused on getting more fit as well as off board self training. She achieved a 4th place at the World Cup Finals in 2020 Norway, as well as a 3rd place finish at the NorAm in Idaho. Her main goal is to get as much board time as possible and advancing her skills on and off the snow to qualify for the USA Paralympic team to go to the next Paralympics in 2022 Beijing.

After hearing the devastating news from the International Paralympic Committee that they will not have an Upper Limb Female category for 2022 Beijing, Kiana has started a petition to hopefully change their minds for allowing her class to compete in the 2022 Paralympics in Beijing.
